"We're in the narrative business," says Michael Maharam, who runs the New York-based textile company with his brother Stephen. With (2009) by Sarah Morris, Maharam explores the story of turning a work of art into design. Based on a painting that is included in the MoMA's permanent collection – and part of the artist's larger body of work entitled Los Angeles – speaks to the urban, architectural landscape of iconic buildings that create the identity of Los Angeles. This fabric offers reduced environmental impact and is Greenguard Children and Schools certified for low chemical and particle emissions and may contribute to LEED certification. This fully licensed fabric is produced by Maharam Design Studio according to the designer's specifications.
