The Ernest Pouf (2011) by Donna Wilson is characteristic of the designer's playful nature, tactile aesthetic and timeless palette. Seeking a fun response to the problem of occasional seating, she designed the low-lying Pouf to bring a little softness, intimacy and color into the home. To make each Ernest Pouf, the cotton liner is hand-stuffed with an eco-friendly fiber made from recycled plastic bottles and then upholstered with knit panels, like segments of an orange. These zig-zag patterned lambswool panels are knit in Scotland using a traditional Fair Isle technique, and the comfortable Pouf is assembled by hand in Wilson's U.K. studio. The wool cover is removable for cleaning. Made in England.
