An interpretation of an everyday automotive piece of equipment; therear-view mirror is the basis of Sebastian Wrong's humorous design forthe Convex Mirror. By exaggerating this well-known form and placing itin an unfamiliar interior environment, Wrong has made iconic a mostnon-iconic object. The convex curve of the mirror surface ismanufactured using instrument quality mirror technology normallyreserved for use in aircraft simulators. The mirror is finished with aprecision injection-moulded casing of tactile plastic and is mounted ona fully adjustable ball-jointed wall fixing; creating amulti-directional mirror.
